Good price but poor customer service
Island 4x4 were slow to deliver, a few had delays but most due to covid issues
I use paddocks when I have to but I don't like to. I don't use craddocks unless I really really have to
Brexit has dramatically curtailed my ordering from English parts houses, and in 2021 I made a huge shift to buying almost entirely from EU
distributors.
All gave good service and kept in touch and up to date if delays were occurring.
LR Series Very Happy with
All good.
Strange that not all has streamlined and transparent EU shipping model by now.
All kept their promises.
No problem to deal with. I do recommend them to everyone.
Not in 2021 but Bearmach sold me a crap “reconditioned” steering box in 2020
Pricing close to Land Rover and parts availability
All excellent
Most of them doesn't specify the part brand
Worked hard given difficult circumstances
Paddock, Rimmerbros, and Lrdirect have stepped up nicely and responded promptly with any issues that have come to bare
Rimmer is expensive but you get good advice, Paddocks a bit more hit and miss for advice, more sales driven, island is ok but some parts
rusted very very quickly (road springs) and returning wrongly supplied parts took nearly a year!
Good quality parts are disappearing!
LRDirect’s web site redesign was a step backwards!
Most of the vendors, overseas shipping cost is very high (some times, higher than the cost of the item for a small part)
Postage has gone up so not buying from UK any more
Rimmers is the best for pricing and shipping
Mostly ok. Bearmach part were considered high quality but failed very quickliy not economic to return part to uk from North America
I will avoid Bearmach and Britcar in future.
No - I haven't dealt with them
Freight too expensive across the board
A few issues with Paddock, parts not included in order and two right hand parts instead of left and right.
I’ve been pleased with them all. It really came down to price and availability.
Clear, simple to use website
Ist take a long time, deliberiert to Germany
reliable service - love their use of e-Global
Paddocks customer service disappointing
"John Craddock's customer service was so bad I'll never buy from them again. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to get my money
refunded.
LR Parts has kind of expensive shipping
Paddock is pretty solid all around. Wish they had some of the rarer parts though. "
Long leaf times
EASILY IDENTIFY PARTS WITH PHOTO
The shipping can be cheaper on small items
All were good to deal with.
Cannot recommend AMJClassics.com, they sent the wrong part, won't admit it is the wrong part and don't take it back (15 days after purchase,
but it clearly was their fault!)
proche de chez moi et de bon conseil
Advanced Factors have great customer support.
Excellent service, good selection, don't sell trash
Long delivery time and high costs , (covid and brextit)
Customs charges are included in website prices.
all sell lower grade parts
Island 4x4 one of the best out there outstanding service
Britcar best but you know what happens.
Famous four maybe slightly more expensive, but the dispatch and send the items out very quickly. Superb service!
Paddock have the best solution addressing the pains of BREXIT
All good service
Rimmer has a great online shop and good quality parts. MUD has accurate photos/instructions
Roadstar LandRover dealership Nuernberg, very helpfull spareparts department, very friendly and helpfull, also the master mechanic can be
asked for some technical advise and not to forget I get some good percentage on parts
Supply chain issue affected them all as they all get stock from Landrover
All were brilliant, with rimmer having the best customer service and returns of all them
After Brexit I have avoided British webshops, and have gone to a local independent for parts.
All were good to buy from
Molto fornito prezzi bassi preciso
Very good.
Seem to be more expensive than previous years
Brexit ... see you in another lifetime
craddock and paddockspares are not serious
Island4x4 unresponsive when defective oem part sent. Was unable to return, so reordered from somewhere else. Fortunately only 20 part.
Quickest despatch - JGS Slowest despatch times - Bearmach
superb service
reliable
Good customer service and fast delivery
New old stock items found to be best quality
Always buy the better quality Britpart parts
All really good
Transglobal’s parts are usually genuine Bearmach
Craddocks, stock inaccurate and slow sending of items
LR Direct had good stock levels and resonable delivery charges.
No, fine use them them for a long time
paddock is horrible after Brexit
Closest
John Craddocks has the worst service of any retailer I've ever experienced. Untruthful, deceitful, dishonest, and useless.
"LR Direct supplied cheap aftermarket part in Lemforder box and failed to accept responsibility or return. Won't use again.
PABlanchards excellent "
Never let me down, unlike Bearmach who are dreadful, Britcar went bust
No problems that I can recall
Getting more challenging to find & buy old style Defender parts - especially non-mechanical.
very expensive and long shipping times to Canada. that said, in some cases im not in a hurry but there are no "slow" (inexpensive) shipping
options.
Very happy with those retailers
very big impact is BREXIT (I am located in Germany)
never had a problem with Paddock, web site not the best though.
Since brexit as I live in Ireland delivery costs not including customs charges have increased dramatically
All reliable and fast delivery
Damn shame Britcar went under. They were my favourite supplier by far.
Bcoming expensive
All good at what they do
Best is PA Blanchard. It's bad they are going to close...
As above, brexit did not make life better here in Austria - unfortunately
"Both good and carriage duties sorted to Ireland.
Shame Britcar have gone as I used them for Genuine and OEM parts as you know what you are getting in terms of the quality. "
Paddocks Customer service is the pitts
Part specs/descriptions are universally terrible, sometimes they aren't even the same part visually.
Excellent
Rovers North is my preferred vendor. All others were for more difficult to find or out of stock parts
All very good, no problems
Britcar was the best, had the best website until they upgraded it, good customer service and dependable.
All have been good
ALL SHOCKING DISPATCH AND SERVICE APART FROM PA BLACHARD
Postal service of Rimmer Bros is terrible!
Paddocks failed to tell me they didn't have an item in stock until I phoned then it didn't arrive by the allowed time. The tried to say it
was the courier fault.
I had excellent service from all 3, only had reason to use Paddocks customer service and it was an excellent experience
excellent service, I found that the smaller retailers were a lot quicker than the big 2
all provided correct parts in the time they said they would dispatch
East to deal with, good selection, good prices and helpful support
Brexit has caused me to try to avoid shopping in the UK for parts as customs is a hassle
Brexit! Britpart should move to Germany.
Bearmach tended to be focused towards trade customers. Some items only available in multiples.
PA Blanchard are the best for service, price, and where possible OEM
all have been good some have been really good
Excellent customer service from LR Centre
Since Brexit the total price incl shipping and customs clearance are very high.
All ok
terraintech website indicated the chassis and bulkhead was in stock when they were not, resulting in a 6 week delay
BLRC best for customer service but still supply britpart sub quality items on occasions
Paddock needed about four weeks, the Series was in the garage and we had nearly to wait für the parts. Sorry, but Brexit makes live more
diffcult.
All performed to my expectations
The knowledge of the salespersons is one item I place a very high value on. I buy and service/restore many trucks from outside the US and to
be able to speak with someone knowledgeable about the ROW models the differences and similarities is imperative.
Mostly supply quality parts and service
Mixed results. You’re the best of all of them
Rimmer and D44 have been great
Both suppliers are very good
unfortunately customs and toll handling from GB is more complicated and expensive, so buying in Germany is more common
All satisfactory
good service
Great service
It’s a shame Blanchard’s are closing, I’ll miss them.
I had no problem
Rover's North was most helpful.
P A Blanchard are so helpful and will be a huge loss when they close, as was clsoing of Dunsfold
Craddock and paddock went above and beyond expectations, incredible customer service when stranded in the highlands.
Never buy cheapest parts always check
Great service and knowledge
Bearmach was much better before.
Had trouble with a rear door and heated screen , they supplied non heated then argued Whalen I called them
Seemed ok, helpful on phone
Great communication, great customer service
Very sad to see that Britcar has gone into receivership. Found them an excellent LR parts supplier... were by go to place to buy from if they
had part in stock
Island 4x4 have a terrible customer service attitude. They never answer emails, and not interested in returning damaged goods due to poor
packing. Tend not to use them unless I can't source the item at a reasonable price elsewhere.
Britcar was my local supplier and it is a shame it went bust
Bearmach is always reliable and well stocked, Landypoint had very good customer service
The only retailer to offer shipping costs to N. America at Checkout including import fees.
Bearmak produits bas de gamme sur les roulement
They are good I. Their own way but no one particularly stands out
Both been good
Bought some driveshaft shims from LRseries and on their website they listed 10x shims for approx £3.80. Only purchased one expecting to recieve 10 but received one, and they refused to honour the mistake on the website, first telling me that 10x is the shim measurement??? (
they are measured in mm) then admitting that it was a mistake.
Parts from Paddock , delivery time was 3 month
LRDirect reasonably priced and quick delivery to NI
I have mixed feelings about Rovers North. Prices and shipping seem excessive.
Paddock spares was the only one who gave poor customer service
Rimmer has excellent parts diagrams
Fair prices, quick shipment, excellent quality.
No Issues
"Live near britcar so was handy to avoid shipping and returns good customer service. Groove for bushes kit good service tell how it is.
Looking to find new supplier atm as britcar gone"
No complaints, everything delivered within expected timeframe. Brexit has increased costs for UK shops, NL prices sometimes close to UK that
way.
Brexit makes it all too expensive!
I preferred LRDirects old website
All first class retailers
All provided a great service
Serious
Good service and helpful staff
Prices all going up !
Some are Good, But some are Absolutely awful
Wouldn’t trust anyone more than Ian at IRB
LR Direct have a great delivery policy for NI
they are perfect for me. Too bad there's nothing near me
Impeccable service from Brookwells
Polish LR parts where fast and efficient
I had some troubles with John Craddock with my orders, but most of them are solved after I email or call them a few times.
I had OK service from all of them
Your comparisons were very good. Often I would buy from these guys when offers via ebay were given.
All efficient & good quality with good prices
Great Customer Service From both Retailers
Web site is difficult to navigate on. Need part number to find parts on most of the sites.
The are fair
Nakatannga is a expensive not recommend dealer with workshop.
John Craddock was the worst: paid in advance and no delivery
For Canadians, 3 Brothers Classic Rover allows you to evade international shipping and Customs hassles, and you have a domestic supplier to
deal with if issues of quality arise.
frustrating when you have to go to several different suppliers because you find one item come in packs of 10, or they don't stock an item
you need and going to another supplier will bump the cost by £20
One retailer substitited part brands, which is absolute no no.
Very sad to see that Britcar went into receivership
Atlantic British has gone downhill a lot in terms of customer service. They have been very difficult to work with.
Good quality parts, delivery took a while
All did as required
So far, all good
All give a good service
All good suppiers
wonderfull
Atlantic British , best customer service
The US retailers charge way too much for postage, and I rarely buy anything from England or the US for that reason and usually I'll choose
England as our dollar is higher against the GBP BUT will only do so if the part is unavailable in Australia.
Poor Customer service
PA Blanchard excellent
I have purchased from LR Series in the past, but the supplied Britpart disguised as genuine.
Many take a long time to dispatch items
Top
It start to be difficult to revive the parts in Italy
Some stock delays, likely covid/brexit logistic challenges
Not really, they all do what I need
comes back to the EU
John Craddock bad service if they send somthing rong
Craddock still has reasonable shipping fee to germany
John Carddock very poor service.
lrworkshop.com provides many options with their prices
Generally all good. Britpart seem to be getting better. Especially their brake parts
Blanchard's are always first class
LR Series: good stock, very bad costumer service, low product info7part description on website, Paddock Spares, high prices, poor variety of
products, John Craddock: high range of products, easy way of buying parts
When ordering from craddocks you have to be careful to check that the parts you want are in stock as the website will let you purchase stuff that is out of stock. Then you have to wait for weeks or months. Also there phone lines are only open to 13:00 which is the most annoying
thing.
Great customer service &great parts knowledge.
Good tech support as well as stock availability
JLR Classic - genuine parts more expensive and they don't have everything for newer defs, but their freight to Australia is cost effective
and very fast.
Paddock Spares has a all inclusive bill at checkout which is very good for euripean customers. John Craddock uses a courier who adds costs if
you have many order lines. A problem if you are ordering many different nuts and bolts and washers and ...
It is dreadful that the majority of them cannot inform their Irish / EU customers of the full costs they will incur due to post-brexit
taxes.
Island 4x4 are really good
Paddock Spares and Bearmach are by far the best for price but their shipping costs is just ridiculous. All Four X 4 charges a lot more for
their parts but you can bet that any part you order will arrive within 2 or 3 days tops and be top quality.
Great international shipping from UK to USA - faster than some domestics
seemed ok
Only Blanchard & Turner supplied good quality parts that were faultless.
questionable wording as to what the quality of a part is.
Great shipping times to Australia, even with the world stuffed from COVID. LOF had great service and product.
DDE was no fuss and quick, John Craddock was slow and expensive shipping to Canada
" - no customs hassle with LRdirect and excellent service
- most SIII parts available at John Craddock and also excellent service"
Generally okay
Rimmers shipping prices are very high.
I usually use island 4x4 and buy OEM or branded parts
Foleys are excellent, and very good at sourcing reasonably priced Genuine Parts
LR Series has very pooor customer service. Impressed with LR Centre service.
Island 4x4 have always been great service and dispatched quickly
Perfect service from all that I ordered from
They were all fine.
Roverhfarm is the best all round supplier/ rovers north dont ship to skyboxes
"Slow order processing with LRSeries.
Good communication on back orders and estimated delay from Paddock."
I like LR Direct, but there LR Workshop is good to have. Impossible to search on their website
Paddocks spare has terrible customer service
all very good
Would not do business w/ Bearmach again. Terrible online platform, complicated billing and shipping procedures.
Really decent service , though all seem to be having supply issues.
Bearmach was the easiest to deal with, MM had the best comms
Lr centre has the best service, but charge a lot for delivery. John Craddock is slow to deliver.
Island does not refund part returned in good order. Does not react after many e-mails.
LR Centre has gone downhill a bit
No complaints
shipping costs are high and so i have reduced buying online
John Craddock took two weeks to process my order
Prompt service, good quality
Love them all. I can find nearly any part between these vendors
Too much choice sometimes
Good customer service
Reliable and free postage over £60!
Was a good year. No problems with parts or their retailers
Britcar were definitely the slowest to dispatch
Ashcroft are great
Good
All transactions were well handled, and when information was required all came back with an answer
Quality products and great service from LOF and Gwyn Lewis and uproar 4x4
LRDirect is serious and fast
All much the same local Indy is very good, sometimes delivers for free if the vans passing
Bearmach has excellent service.
I personally like the LRDirect website, given their clear range and choice of manufacturers, and the free delivery covers my location (north
of Scotland). You do really need the part numbers in advance though.
Bearmach are a mess due to low stock levels and incorrect online stock information. Rovers North good but expensive. Turner Engineering we buy all of our engine components. Great quality and first class service. LR Centre our mainstay this year absolutely great service and best
for sourcing genuine LR parts.
annoying that you have to shop around to get best price for exactly same part fulfilled by same warehouse!

How would you like to see the parts industry for Land Rovers improve?
373 responses
I hope the negative Brexit effects can be minimized.
Focus on making the older vehicles drive & stop better than they do. GUides on good changes to make for customers unsure / unaware
quicker delivery when buying online (Bearmach is the exception, their delivery is really prompt, even in now (Brexit)
Clearer information from retailers about who manufactures the part and suitability for E10+ fuel.
Remanufacturing of old parts that are rare and starting to fail.
Better a better quality, longer lasting, than cheap and junk
Better stock & pricing.
Good pics, sizes and descriptions of parts
More pattern parts at sensible prices
I wish the English parts houses would open EU warehouses, with EU subsidiaries.
Industry adopt a minimum quality expectation which would improve customer satisfaction.
Less reliance on China for cheapness.
QUALITY (britpart allmakes and bear mach quality is truley shocking)
Availability in Europe
Transparent price / quality relation.
Corrosion resistance
More parts available for series Land Rovers.
Cut out the China made products.
Better quality
More better quality parts availability
Expand the aftermarket parts to a level that is comparable to JEEP or FORD with their new Bronco
Better quality aftermarket replacement parts
Easier supply to the EU, with Brexit this is now very cumbersome and clearly more expensive.
Accesories and upgrades
Good independent parts suppliers like Dunsfold, Blanchards, Britcar and Pegasus Parts stop closing down!!!
Develop into keeping OEM quality parts going and keeping stock / reproductions of parts that are becoming more and more scarce to find.
more OEM quality
Honesty
Re-manufacture small runs of parts obsoleted by LandRover
OEM and better quality parts, stop selling poor quality parts. Encourage quality and discourage poor quality parts from suppliers.
improving the quality without raising the price too much
Better quality. Make parts exactly like the originals. Too much cheap poorly built products these days
Some Land Rover models has inherent issues (Ex. Gear chunks of Defenders). Suggest solutions and modifications for such issues.
Postage costs
All use DHL
Manufacturer of parts identified
BETTER SUPPLY
Quality control
Quality and availability of parts
Cost
Better quality of parts
Quality over price
don't know
Have parts made in EU, UK, USA,or India only. Stop farming manufacturing out to cheap and nasty Chinese sweatshops.
Cheaper parts
Have more personnel in the USA
freight on small part
So far, I’ve escaped with little to no bad products. I know they’re out there, but I’ve been very fortunate.
Lower costs
I want to be able to get every part!
free online reference catalogues and part numbers
Better customer service, generally speaking. Better availability of more different parts. Better mid range options (something between genuine Land Rover and Brit Part)
More basic replacement and body parts availability.
The challenge is that Land Rovers are so poorly made, so not easy to make parts that fits directly to all models
MAIN BRANCH IN UAE TO GET ALL BRANDS OF PARTS
Reasonable prices
Tricky, not easy to stop the market being flooded with cheap and nasty versions. And if some folks will persist in still buying them then there's always going to be a ready market out there.
Retailers having better websites where you can hunt parts easier.
Reproduction of rare spares that are no longer available.
just don't sell very cheap, very bad quality parts, or at least have a good labeling for different qualities
I would like to see a big distribution center in the EU because of that ridiculous brexit
Parts should mention which type of Land Rover it would fit
More quality parts for reasonable prices
Weed out the rubbish parts
Quality of aftermarket parts improvement.
Quality
it is pretty good; almost any dream can be realized
a standard minimum Quality (no parts made of cheese ) junk parts
Stop selling cheap Chinese parts not fit for purpose
More attention to quality and accuracy of manufacturing.
Identify and remove the parts that are jot fit for purpose. We need to change the culture of the manufacturers so they are willing to improve on the poor quality parts, rather than have the attitude of “it’s cheap, so what do you expect”.
Rather pay more and get better quality
Less Chinese copy parts being used as UK made without detail
Use less packaging/more recycling packaging
Having more transparency as to where the parts actually come from (manufacturer) would be nice but will probably not happen.
As above.
good quality for a reasonable price
More choice of oem. Improve quality of aftermarket parts even if prices increase
Quality and availability outside of uk
Get rid of the Chinese rubbish spare parts.
Better access to true oem parts, not parts rested on s genuine box, but neither genuine or oem when delivered. EBay supplier the guilty party.
More retailers to choose from - they are becoming less and less. Ordering from UK costs more to ship than actual price of part so that is disappointing to US owned D-90 owners. I would buy more from UK if the shipping was not so costly.
Improve rubber components in aftermarket parts
Shops to provide custom services on checkout for EU customers
Vendors needs to make the grade of parts needs clearer. Saying it's Britpart is confusing when they offer such a broad range of qualities. There are some Britpart items I wouldn't go near, yet others I have been very happy with.
Maintain high quality
Improved designed parts, I.e. galvanised, addressing design flaws e.g lof clutches etc...
Quicker despatch times, some sellers advertise products but do not hold physical stock
I would like to pay original spare parts for real value and not brand value"
Better supply available would be good
Increased parts availability for DIsco Sport
Better quality from the bigger suppliers
sensible pricing
the ability to feedback on parts so over time you'd be able to see average lifetime of parts either by mileage for things like ball joints or years for accessories like side steps, how long before they are likely to rust. When you pay more for a similar part how do you know that it's actually going to be a better part if you don't know the brands too well.
UK back to EU so we get normal prices and deliveries again in Holland. Now prices are 40% higher and deliveries takes forever....
Focus on reliable parts
Better descriptions and images for parts to ensure compatibility
Better quality overall
Just go on!
CALIDAD, FIABILIDAD (NO VENDER PRODUCTOS CADUCADOS COMO JUNTAS DE GOMA PARABRISAS...), PRECIOS RAZONABLES, BUEN SERVICIO AL CLIENTE
Quality, get rid of Britpart tat.
Better quality parts
If EU parts retailers would have similar prices as UK retailers!!!!
Improvement of quality control
Availability and quality improvements
Improve quality. Even some of the genuine parts I've bought this year have been crap, e.g. indicator globe leaking from day one.
More modifications that dont require drilling into body work
Stop advertising parts as “OEM” when they definitely weren’t fitted originally. Stop selling Far Eastern junk.
Your site expanded to include full series 2 parts ;-)
Transparency on where parts are made
Better quality.
Reasonably priced delivery charges.
It would be nice if there were no delays and incalculable additional costs due to customs clearance.
Less shit from China and India
Stop selling cheap poor quality rubbish. Britpart for example, should insist on a level of quality from their manufacturers that they would be comfortable warranting.
Parts made in the UK
I always look for original parts first, then OEM good quality alternatives. Many DEfenders on the road but seems spares and upgrades are getting more of a challenge to source.
Various shipping options and rates to canada
Locate dealers to EU, Brexit regulation Costa to much
Availability of present parts no longer manufactured, particularly electrical components
Better quality and not Chinese
Using better quality rubber for several rubber parts like trackrod boots or series 3 door seals
More UK manufactured & sourced parts
Rear wheel cubby box 110 type thing
reliability
it surely costs more in the long run to make good and bad parts, when the money could just be put into making one decent part in the name of sustainability
Keep part numbers the same for military and civil, Rimmer’s/bearMach/LR
Common failure parts improved or alternative existing parts recommended
be available also in 10 years
Keep stock
More accurate stock figures on websites.
Ensure parts meet OEM specifications as a minimum requirement
More knowledge about where the parts are coming from. Carbon footprints are increasingly significant.
Continue as is. Parts availability for Defenders is quite good.
Classic parts for early vehicles
Exit the Brexit ;-)
Reduce postage costs to Ireland as most have doubled since Brexit and some won’t even send to Ireland anymore
Get rid of the absolute carp/low quality items that cause nothing but headaches and extraneous packaging.
Quality...it's p*ss poor all over, though some (Britpart) are much worse than others.
id like retailers to stock alternatives to Britpart
No thoughts at the moment
Quality parts
Better quality of parts..I'd like to be able to buy something and have piece of mind it gonna fit ok and do the job it's supposed to..in summary, get rid of low quality parts
better parts quality
Improved quality and LR original parts sold at competitive prices.
Better prices for Genuine
Stop Brexit :-)
Easier to find the right parts that fit and are readily available
Get rid of poor/substandard parts suppliers that supply supposedly OEM parts that don't work or fit.
Good competition between suppliers
Solving the problem of Brexit
better dispatch and service.
Lose the cheap and nasty parts
hold stock rather than order from their supplier only once an item is ordered
seems ok at the moment, plenty of choice and price difference
Consistently higher quality
Better availability in the EU
Join the EU!
Better quality of aftermarket
Improved quality and consistency from britpart, better transparency on country of manufacture.
Better quality for a fair price
less poor quality
Quality!
Prices need to be a lot lower.
oil seals quality
Better fit and finish for aftermarket panels
I,’d like to see either more accurately made parts or more adjustment/ tolerance in the parts fitting.
Better websites, part photos, and part spec details.
Treat the highlands as part of the uk as the postage is the same throughout the country
MORE CARRIER OF OEM PARTS
Better quality parts that last the same time as the originals.
Quality
Improved guidance to correct part.
Reduce prices in general
continue to offer unique vehicle
Improve deliveries
Better quality and generally not sourced from China/Mexico
With import duties and difficulties in obtaining quality parts it would be nice to have a burgeoning parts manufacturing industry in this country reviving old skills and knowledge
More stateside inventory
Availability of quality parts at reasonable price
Fit guarantee
Supply good parts, not cheap parts. At the end of the day cheap parts will cost you more
Better identification
Have a law against ugly bolt on shit, halo headlights and quilted leather interiors (No offence Exmoor Trim) these owners should trade in for Jeep Wranglers
Improve quality of aftermarket parts
new engine ecu TD5 new plastic components dashbord td5
I don’t know because we’re talking about a diminishing supply of products.
Quality. Quality. Quality.
Genuine parts register of suppliers accredited
Better discriptions and images on the websites
availability of parts stateside.
Better quality - there is some real pattern part rubbish out there.
Better delivery costs for small items
Clearer link between LR part numbers and Ford part numbers, sometimes the gamble of using Ford part numbers for cheaper parts pays off, sometimes the fit is slightly different and sometimes it doesn’t work.
Less Chinese junk
Try to upgrade vehicle
A non-uk based supplier so I don't have to pay customs fees
Undo Brexit
Less chinese crap
Better quality from a lot of the suppliers
It’s ok,
Get rid of the vorst quality parts
just try to always have spare parts for the older SERIES models
Weed out the rogue traders
Offer multiple brand choices, like Britcar did.
Better quality from many suppliers without the astronomical prices of gen LR parts (the quality of which is now sometimes suspect too!!). A list of who the OEM supplier for LR parts was would be very useful.
Standardized parts list. Too many retailers do not do their homework and list parts that are not compatible with model type or year.
Easier delivery and returns process to match big players like Amazon
Aim to use better raw materials in the making of products. Reusing old parts is too often the better route.
More info on the origin of parts. Far too much cheap crap cluttering the market that needs sifting through
More quality control by aftermarket companies like Britpart.
Continued availability.
More greaseable tie rod / ball joint options
Moins de pièces bas de gamme
Genuine parts that are more comparable in price to OEM parts where they both look identical but Genuine parts are three or four times more expensive
Not too worried about prices or quality of parts, what really worries me is the poor customer service from certain retailers!
Just don't fade away please
Better stock /availability information
I don't need improvement. Just make the parts as they are for the next 100 years ;-)
Improved quality of parts
More parts made by small firms and prices kept low
More information about who supplied OEM to the factory
Mark up is horrible. Better quality
Use only European and North American sources.
Improved export procedures (Brexit is a pain in the ...). Payment with VISA instead of Paypal
More mechanical parts for Series
Update their websites to look like they’re trading in 2021 and not 2001
Not had any issues getting parts yet
Would like to see less low quality parts
more reasonable pricing in some cases, better shipping costs from UK to USA postage is one thing, excessive handling cost to augment profits, not good.
Rather than copy Land Rover design faults give options for improved parts. LOF does some of this.
better photos and diagrams of detailed nuts and bolts-easier to dismantle then reassemble!!!
transition to the Toyota model of reasonable price for actual OEM quality
Less cheap Chinese imports
BACK TO THE EU!!! otherwise Keep it up Guys ;-)
Good websites, longevity of parts,
Counterfeit parts to disappear
Remember those who have invested in the brand over the years and keep the modern classics on the road for many more years
Of course. Can I just add that I did buy a Shielder Chassis in 2020 and I'm happy with it
Quality control
Consistent Product durability
Focus on quality and improving on OEM (e.g. ignition barrels/switches!)
Be clearer between OE quality and the OEM part.
Better quality control.
Stop having poor quality parts made in China
that it becomes cheaper and quality remains the same
Less cheap imports more home grown Quality parts please
Quality control requires attention for the "far east spares"
Quality comparison of branded and non branded parts really useful
Sellers inspect/check parts and then comment on fitment to standard LRs
Higher quality and therefore higher prices.
Cheaper body panels
Good stock of spare parts
Carry on.
Strong supply of original parts
Oem parts that fit
Make things available
A clearer understanding of part numbers with dates changed/superseded etc
That L/R folk´s arounde the world can bye L/R parts to human price´s abroad UK
Better delivey performance to EU
More parts availability for Land Rover discovery 1 200TDI
Continue to expand parts offerings for classic (series) vehicles
sell parts that fit, and work for a fair price. I don't care if a part has 1000yr warranty and only cost £5, If I have to take the engine or box out to replace it. You never know what will arrive OEM ha! can arrive in a Britpart, Allmakes who cares bag. It needs to fit and work 1st time every time.
Greater transparency of parts sources
Parts should be as close to the origin make up as possible
Better quality for paint / powder coated.
I would like to see quality being less of a minefield
Less cheap shit from low cost manufacturers
Better quality of parts lasting longer and fitting better
More quality non-oem choices. Stop gouging on pricing just because it's for Land Rover.
If parts are made in the same factory or are the same as genuine Landrover parts
Get rid of rubber that just falls apart.
spare parts economy
Internet supply
Better parts quality across resellers.... britpart, allmakes, bearmach, etc.
Less China parts
Take it out of the hands of Land Rover, impossible I know but, at east make these parts more accessible to the independent suppliers.
Quality above quantity
Reliable and long lasting equivalent or better than Toyota parts.
More diagrams for some parts to show placement
To stop advertising parts that they no longer have in stock unless they intend to re stock them and say that on their websites
Better prices for sure
Consumption
Cheaper OEM
I would be interested in seeing more refurbish/renovate type packs of things like seals and bolts. Lots of Defenders are being restored from a sorry state, and being able to purchase everything you need in one order would save loads of time.
it would be good if it was specified for which model year the part is planned
Basic quality testing for new sources of aftermarket parts.
Better quality, less chineese crap
manufacture parts that are no longer available for sale. Keep them alive
Improve the quality of rubber parts, from seals to throttle cable bellows, very poor at the moments from all suppliers
More specific to each model
The after market parts should fit without any modifications and last for long time
be more competitive
Quality of parts has to be the top priority.
Consistency + electronic parts that don't die after a few months
better ability to deliver
more parts for oder models, better quality specially brake parts, reproduction of overdrives, etc
I want better quality control and material quality even if this means higher prices. Especially For the rubbish that comes from India.
Both Britpart and Bearmach are equally as bad.
Having online stores inside UE.
Availability of parts, and suppliers carrying stock.
Higher quality
Quality at the correct price,
More transparency on part specifications and tolerances
Full transparency of ALL costs incurred in purchasing any part at check out, including VAT, courier /delivery fees and at the very least an accurate estimation of import / customs fees.
Better quality low cost parts
Wherever possible parts manufactured by OEM suppliers or at OEM quality levels
If you spend over say $200, free shipping!!! It's just the worst ordering $500 worth of parts to then be expected to pay almost the same in shipping!
JLR to stop being greedy and start pricing their parts reasonably
every series vehicle parts available
TBD - happy customer here
common part numbers
International shipping improvement (Brexit problems, a huge delay in delivery)
Quality: what is the point of making a part that differs in form, fit & function
pencil pushers having nothing to do with design or quality.
More reproduction engine parts and kits for rebuilding
no more chinas
Consistency and a juried quality assessment
come back in EC.
lower delivery costs to highlands mainland. Carriers are having a laugh !.
Less parts of Chinese origin
have more parts made in UK
Quality, quality and quality
Clarity on who the 'OEM' manufacturer is when that is claimed.
Better quality and prices
Stop importing cheap Chinese rubbish!
Quality rather than price, cheap rubbish is just cheap rubbish and frustrating to try to fit and even more annoying when it doesn't even fit,
No more cheap and useless parts!!
Older vehicle parts availability
Better overseas delivery
Quality control, Steering parts are always a worry when i buy cheaply off ebay.
Unsure
Maintain stocks on new old model parts
Stop selling rubbish parts that don’t even come close to fitting in the application. Especially for gear boxes, differentials, engines etc. I was tempted to order rubbish parts several times because the price of new wasn’t that high. They usually turn out to be brand less or Britpart (Shitpart). I have reused the original parts several times and three new parts away. Last example was the diff oil thrower which was too large. I only discovered after I fitted the seal, which was ruined on removal. How hard can it be to copy a round piece of sheet metal? Another day where a job couldn’t be finished because of rubbish parts and new parts had to be ordered because of it.
better quality than lrj
When selling as oem it should be the company that made the part for landrover eg err3340 should be coopers not any other company
Quality. I have bought parts branded both britpart and Bearmach with extreme bad quality. Most is nice
More availability in Australia
Better descriptions, specs, compatibility
improve quality
I’d like to see Britpart take the initiative and actually do something about there reputation for selling cheap and nasty parts.
Yes, less rubbish and better quality, comparable to OEM. Cheap arts are a false economy as the labour and repurchase/return/cost/time/faff isn't worth it.
More clarity in advert descriptions of items
Better real-time inventory management.
A higher/greater standard of quality parts
Global shipping and distribution availability for specialized parts
Better quality parts, supporting local manufacturing businesses.
it would be nice to see suppliers/manufacturers to be able to supply more difficult to source/discontinued by Landrover parts, ie some dash parts.
Current system works for me
reduce sale of low brands
It is a good parts industry with plenty of product knowledge but modern stuff is dominating
More accurate/honest description of quality
Less lower quality and unreliable parts
Prices could be lowered for many over-priced items
Can't think of anything
I'm happy with the current availability
offer a wider portfolio for Series Land Rovers
Ensure genuine parts are readily available.
Adequate supply of parts of older Series Land Rovers.
Improved Quality
General Quality. And state side distribution ( I want a new modern bumper... shipping is killing me....I might wind up going custom built in town because it will cost about the same even though there are several nice options in Europe that I would gladly pay for
Increase quality
More of the current hard to find parts to be reproduced. Such as the trim parts for the series
When quoting OEM they mean it’s the actual part that is suppled to landrover by the manufacturer.
remanufacturing of part for P38
tricky...
Think it’s pretty good as is if your careful where you buy, lots of shit on eBay
Better mechanics.
A more continental approach. Brexit means I'm constantly looking for continental based dealers and providers. Brexit means extremely high import and delivery costs.
More consistent quality and fit - less of a “what’s in the box” lottery
Lead times reduced
Less cheap rubbish Chinese parts
filter out metal that is made from cheese and ensure parts supplied are as good as OE
