Changing 300Tdi fuel filter without making a mess

When I change the fuel filter on my 300Tdi (AEU2147L), to stop the diesel leaking everywhere I use a 4 pint milk bottle with the top cut off (except for the handle). You can unscrew the filter and let it drop into the bottle and it works a charm. I also do this on the fuel sedimenter.
