300Tdi rocker cover breather pipe leak

I've had bad experiences with the 300Tdi rocker cover breather pipe (LLH500170). I have replaced it 2 times with genuine Land Rover parts but it continues to leak by perishing around the hose clamps. I don't think i'm tightening them too tight. I think next time i'll go for a silicone hose.
