Blocking a 300Tdi vacuum hose with EGR removed - Land Rover Blog

The EGR system on a 300Tdi uses a feed from the vacuum pump to operate the EGR valve. If you remove the system then the feed pipe becomes open to atmosphere and you will loose vacuum pressure, resulting in soft brakes. Some EGR kits come with a rubber bung that goes over the top of the nib, but I found it quickly perished and fell off.

Sugru to the rescue! Sugru is a great silicone substance that dries within 24 hours of opening in any shape that you mould with it. I thought it would be good for this situation.
